Is he aware of his problem? I hired a temp who I've come to realize has a serious problem with this. He speaks incessantly and can't seem to tell when no one is interested or listening. He tells stories no one wants to hear, people ignore him (politely) but he continues on for 30 minutes filling in every minute detail. He's in his late twenties, lives at home, no girlfriend, not bad looking and is intelligent (he has endless facts on any subject). I have to just to tell him "stop!" sometimes. I wonder if I owe it to him to explain some of this to him so he can get help. He'll never get a decent job or relationship like this.

quackers, I know you wrote this two years ago but did that guy mind when you told him to stop? my s/o is Aspie and I wonder If I should nicely say stop when he goes off on a tangent.
