Does taking breaks in a relationship normally work?

    It's possible..Me and my ex dated for 16 months and are currently "on a break". We may get back together,we may not, I dunno yet. But this break has done alot for me and we seem to be doing better on some of the problems that we had. We both have said that we would like to get back together. The only hiccup could be if you both decide to date other people. Cuz you never know who's going to come along and what could happen. I would also suggest not talking every day. Maybe every few days or so. For the reasons that erin08 mentioned. It kind of defeats the purpose. But I wouldn't totally cut off communication for the reasons that john pennington mentioned. It could cause suspicion and lead to unnecessary confrontation. I know I rambled a lil bit with this answer but I hope it helps..
