In Nashville, the answer to this question, can go either way. a lot of hopeful musicians make their way to Nashville to be "discovered". this may occur on a street corner or as a guest in a scheduled concert or, not at all.

Being cool does not fit the musicians that visit Nashville. most of these people are very serious about their music and talents.

As for the money, this is irrelevant. the money will come later. being "discovered" comes first.
