Similiar- one time I changed the screen resolution to too high a number, the screen went black. I put in a Windows installation disk and choose a repair. The disk reset the setting and I was back on line in 5 minutes. If you do not have a disk maybe you can borrow one from somebody. Remember to choose the repair, not a full installation.

    • I think this is a different problem than what crazyone has. The problem YOU had can actually be solved without the installation disk, by booting up in "VGA" mode and correcting the resolution settings.
