I know a guy, that IS the guy, that puts the "jack" in jackass. I've given up trying to enjoy his company as I would with my other coworkers. After several years I'm still trying to learn what sets him off. When I find a new thing I put it on my list and avoid bringing up the things on the list when he's around.
I'm sure you're not the only one that feels the way that you do, trust me, people notice the actions of others. Be patient as I try to be. I remind myself that I only see this guy at work and I don't know what is going on in his life. It's just possible that I might react to things in the same way that he does if I had his problems in my life. It's also possible that he is just a natural born a**hole.
I understand what your're experiencing and it is a HARD-HARD-HARD thing to deal with.
