  • It makes me feel good. I love my best friend. She is a wonderful person with a good heart that cares for so many of the same things I do..ie animals. It's the type of person that she is that makes me love her...it doesn't have to be weird, I love her like my sister and I know she feels the same way.
  • Good friends may become good partners. Then feel happy because she proposing first.
  • Gender ?? I love you..too. (NOW what the hell do you want from me?) hee hee
  • It's so cool to know that your best friend is in love with you even if you don't have same feelings about her. It feels good thats all!
  • I feel happy becuase I love her aswell....
  • When I was in HS, my best friend was male - I definitely couldn't think of him as more than a brother, so I guess I would have felt pretty weird. Currently my Best Friend is Female, so it would really depend on the context.
  • if she is a girl . . . . hmm depend upon that friend . .. i feel glad may i am waiting for her
  • Confused. Since the divorce I don't know how to take it when anyone says that
  • I tell my best friends I love them and I'm a 45 yr old male it doesn't mean it has to have a sexual meaning!
  • I am answering this as to how you asked, how I feel when my best friend tells me she loves me, it is mostly when she is drunk and she says it over and over and over, but it is cool, because I know she does love me and I love her too!
  • iam feeling so happy.
  • My best friend is my wife!
  • When my male best friend said it, I was shocked. I didn't respond because it was so unexpected. That person had never said anything like that to me before, the thing is that I really like him, I just didn't think he would ever feel that way. I just kept that to myself. Meanwhile I just stood there making us feel uncomfortable for a second. I think I missed my shot. Other than that, if my female best friend says I love you, then I hug her and say it right back. We are just friends!

  • I would feel like I just lost my best friend. You can't get that relationship back once you cross the line.

  • Shocked. Guys generally don't say that to one another.
  • Whats else i will like to listen.
  • I agree with Paw43...I'm a 45 year old female...and I have two wonderful "best friends" and I do love them. It's not a sexual thing.
  • Say I love you too! I have several best friends and we all say I love you on a regular basis.
  • that is the sweetest thing that has happened to me personally :) it feels great !! cheers
  • A woman I was close friends with many, many years ago said this to me while we were at a concert, and it shocked me. (BTW, it was clear she meant it in the strongest way possible.) It ended our friendship. It was sad because I was friendly with her whole family, she was friendly with mine, and nobody saw this coming. I think once that threshhold is crossed, it's very difficult to return to the same friendship. Now, on the other hand, I have had a couple strong male friendships in which we have said the "I love you, man" thing during goodbyes, and that's perfectly comfortable to me.
  • warm and safe and kinda fuzzy inside. i tell her i love her too. she's my best friend, i'm closer to her than my family.
  • I feel great when someone says that to me. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside (cliche I know, but it's true.) You feel like you mean a lot to someone, that they trust you. And that you are important. It's one of the best feelings in the world :)
