  • Yes to both. Originally I got 3 weeks per year vacation paid, and after 3 years that went up to 4 weeks. I can take that all together or in pieces at my own discretion. I get the following paid holidays: New Year's (1.5 days), MLK's Birthday, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (Thursday & Friday), and Christmas (1.5 days).
  • Yes, I get 5 weeks due to the length of time that I have worked for my current employer (25+ years); we also have 11 statutory holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, first Monday of August (local celebrations with local historical connections), Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day (Nov 11th), Christmas and Boxing Day. Personally I would trade Easter Monday for a holiday in the depth of winter, like maybe a Family Day in mid-February.
  • The company I work for has gotten a bit stingy recently. They pay us for the following holidays: New Years Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Christmas We work Patriots day and get a floating holiday in return Up until 2005, we got Columbus Day but they took it from us starting in 2006 We used to get the day after Thanksgiving for working Veterans Day, but they took that in 2006 also. Each employee earns 80 hours of PTO (Paid Time Off) per year starting after they have been with the company for six months. That goes up to 120 hours after an employee has been with the company for seven years. I negotiated for 120 hours in my first year, and will up that to 160 hours at my review this month. As a salaried employee, I don't have to use PTO for sick time, as they get plenty of time out of me otherwise!
  • My company takes the whole of August off, so we get a months paid vacation, plus three weeks in winter and two in spring. In total nine weeks paid vacation a year.
  • Yes, About five weeks. Yes, I get holidays, bonuses, and other perks.
  • 4 weeks
  • Forever as I am now retired.
  • 3 Weeks:)
  • I've been laid off for over a year now...so I can take as much time as I want .. unpaid... when I worked it was a week paid vacation...:)
  • I think about 13 weeks a year - October - 1 week Christmas - 2 weeks February - 1 week Easter - 2 weeks May - 1 week summer - 6 weeks. Having said that, I probably work for about half of that.
  • I work for a company that sucks real hard, how fair is this, after one year of employment you qualify for a weeks vacation, however during that year, if you have been absent or late that time gets deducted from your vacation, so most people dont stay here a year to qualify, but for me i just made a year and when i do the math i get about 30 minutes of paid vacation for my year of service. I had to take off for my sons fathers untimely death, and we do not recieve any paid time off, so i gat about 30 to 36 minutes of paid vacation.
  • I get 7 weeks.
  • One month a year!
  • We are allowed 10 business days vacation a year. But we can take it all at once or day by day or any combo in between.
  • I have maxed out in the number of vacation days, that is I accumulate about 9.5 hours of vacation time in a two week period. Right now I have somewhere around 200+ hours.
  • ...since I am a school teacher: two weeks at Christmas & a week for Spring Break & Thanksgiving...(I don't think we are paid for them all...just the regular ones like President's Day...Martin Luther King)...but we get 2 months off in the summer...but those aren't vacation days because we are not paid for them...only get a paycheck for 10 months...so many of us teachers get a summer job...
  • When I was at work, vacation could be as long as the eligibility of my annual leave and that was 35 days. However now that I have retired from active service, I could take as long as it is financially affordable. I would be on 5 weeks vacation soon.
  • 3 week + sick and personal days. :-)
  • I'm currently self employed and as much as i want lol but for the Army i get 30days paid but can only up to two weeks at a time
  • Three weeks a year.
  • 4 weeks per year but never use it all.
  • 4 weeks. But only take two. They pay me for all 4 weeks.
  • 2 weeks but we get another as a bonus; paid ofcourse.
  • Can never take one, always have work to do...
  • I am not allowed any vacation at work. My boss has a real weird attitude, when I am at work he actually expects me to work instead of lounging around in loud Hawaiian shirts.
  • 18 days + some sick leave
  • Six weeks.
  • i get 4 weeks paid.
  • Two weeks plus 4 personal days a year.
  • If you mean how many consecutive days or weeks, as far as I know 4 weeks is the max. That also depends on if you have someone to cover for your absence. The most time I've had off at once was 17 days.
  • 42 days per year im happy to say! :)
