We call it "The Gut". An old railroad trellis with teeth spray-painted onto it adds a real visual as you descend into the slums...

When I was in Winnipeg, it was called the North End. I lived there for a bit, and kept to myself but yeah, sometimes it got a little crazy. Where I am now there's no area that's really more dangerous than another but, statistics suggest that even though my town is smaller, if it was bigger than Montréal, we would have a crime rate that puts Montréal to shame. I've never really seen that though, but then I don't get out much. Otherwise though, all the drug dealing and prostitution and where all them bad people hang out at is called The Square, Le Caré in French. Compared to Winnipeg's North End though, it pales in comparison, but there's probably a lot of things I never see.

Broadmeadows, home of Eddie "Everywhere" MacGuire. Actually, some parts are quite nice, but stay on the main roads, the backstreets can get a bit funky at night.

The tree streets, though calling it the bad area is pretty funny. Having lived in Newark, and Trenton, New Hampshire doesn't have a "bad area".
