How do you find out what percentage one number is of another? i.e. i need to know what percentage is 1440 of 1920 in other words 1440 is X% of 1920

The way to figure stuff like this out is to construct an identical formula, but using numbers you already know. For example, I know that 5 is 20% of 25. Now I rearrange those numbers into a formula that gives the end result as 20%. Take 5, and divide by 25. The answer is 20%. In other words, 5 is 0.20, or 20%, of 25. Using your numbers: 1440 is ____ of 1920. Divide 1440 by 1920 and you'll have your answer. I've found that constructing identical formulas, using numbers I already know. works every time on all kinds of problems.
