  • This is true for all states. After about a month (sometimes more sometimes less, depending on the crime) without any pursuable leads the police will stop investigating a crime. The arrest warrant is still there. That means that if you ever get pulled over i.e. for speeding in oklahoma (and in any other state that oklahoma has communicated the fact that you have an arrest warrant) when the police officer puts your name in a computer (whether in his car or after he writes the ticket in his office, normally this happens in his car) your name should show that you have an outstanding warrant for your arrest. So the investigation may not last long but the warrant remains until you are in fact arrested.
