  • Replace the clutch friction plates as well as throw out bearing. Front wheel drives are a night mare to work on and you won't want to repeat the process. Do it yourself and you can save considerable money. A mechanic doing it and expect a bout $800 to do the job. I have owned two front wheel drives. Working on my own veicles, I will never own another as long as there are rear wheel drives. on safety I don't care for FWD's as they can go out of control on road puddles, ice and snow at speed, being much like posi trac, trying to compensate for slip, they can spin out.
