  • a regular baritone/euphonium weighs 18-21 pounds. marching probably weighs less than that
  • A marching baritone is not nearly that bad, I have one right here and I'm sure its somewhere in the 5-10 lb range. Of course, after five straight minutes of holding it up,it starts to (seem) to weigh more like 20...and then 30...and then 50. If you don't believe me, ask any marching band brass player.
  • im actually answering my own question now but i was told (by my band director)it only weighs 2-3 pounds although i agree that it feels more like 5-10 specially after a couple minutes so i still tell people it weighs 5 :) lol it (it makes me seem really strong for a 15 year old girl)
  • yeah when he told me it was only 2.5 i thought maybe he was confused and it was 5.2 .lol only crazy people march baritone and i am one of them baritones players unite!! im such a dork
  • You mean like one of the soldiers marching in the cast of Carmen? Im kidding... I had to... Its Opera-nerd humor. I have no idea. Go to Wickipedia and put in baratone it might tell the weight of one?
