NorthWEST!!! (lol...i haven't been to any other airline!)
-
I had to get out my world tour journal to answer this one. I thinks it's only fair that I list all the airlines I've travelled so you can see who is up against who in my final answer. 1/ BOAC...yup, when I was a kid, no longer flying. 2/Air Canada 3/CP Air 4/US Air 5/Northwest air 6/United air 7/Canada 3000 8/Lufthansa 9/British Airways 10/Air India 11/United Emirates Air 12/Cathay Pacific 13/Aeroflot 14/EgyptAir It's a tie between Cathay Pacific and United Emirate Air. Absolutely superior and unexpected service from both and they give you a bunch of, nice to have, travel goodies. The worst was an internal Air India flight. I think a goat was in my seat before me.
-
Thompson! They had edible food!
-
I will go with Continental. I was suprised this spring when I flew on them. They impresses me. Second place goes to British Air, but I do not like the way that the company treats it employees.
-
I would have to say Piedmont Airlines which was sold to USAir in 1989. They had happy employees who loved providing excellent customer service and loyal travelers who appreciated the service. Sadly their high standards are no longer provided by any domestic carrier. The best carrier that I have traveled is Thai Airlines. The worst, British Airways.
-
LOT Polish Airlines. Been flying with them for 14 years and the ticket is only about 15% more today than it was 15 years ago. I like their food, they don't delay luggage often and have never lost any permanently, and work very hard if you have a problem.
-
Quantas (aus)
-
Southwest...best deals..best attendants!
-
American Airlines. I have flown several others and have like them the best!
-
I would say BA anyday, the staff are polite and act like they care, and they always looked after me really well when i flew as an unacomp minor. I have flown BA, AA, Southwest, quantas, singapore airlines, continental, delta, british midlands, monach and maybe some others. I think Southwest and singapore are excellent aswell, and bless them, the people on monach went and found me some tinned beans/sausages thing when i didnt like the food. I find all the food generally appauling except continental, which was pretty ok actually. Continental however would probably come bottom of my list, the staff were rude and useless (seriously, i was in the duff seat, it wouldn't recline, the sound kept turning off, i didn't have a rug/pillow and they just didn't give a s**t - and i'm not the annoying whining type, i just asked them if they could sort any of this stuff out.) I was also sitting in front of a little toddler who was so well behaved but a little bit noisy (he was having great fun and kept on giggling) and the steward came out several times to tell the mother to 'control her child'!!!
-
Well, in terms of personal service above and beyond what is required, I'd have to say, United! Yes that's right, UNITED! They were friendly to the point of dumping huge amounts of free stuff in my lap on one trip to Bankok, and when I got there, the captain invited me to ride on the crew bus downtown for free!! I've flown with them many times and I've never had anything to complain about! Plus I admire the American policy of employing anyone who can do the job, not just under 30's cuties, like a lot of Asian carriers do. They don't practice age discrimination.
-
If you ever come to Canada (or happen to live in Canada), fly with WestJet .... low fairs and the staff are nothing short of entertaining. Not a big airline but thats probably why I like it.
-
I loved Cathay Pacific. They gave a whole bunch of stuff when I flew with them as a child. I got a little backback filled with stuff to keep me entertained. I also liked Malaysian Airlines and Emirates.
-
Qantas. Without a doubt. Flight crew very accommodating, friendly and approachable. Service is second to none. Great experience, very satisfied customer.
-
American Airlines

American Airlines

Luthansa and Swissair used to be hard to beat but now Malaysian and Singapore are very good for service Plus they stopover in some incredible places Like Kuala Lumpah cheapest duty free I have ever found perfumes for pennies and a fantastic Airport. There are of course many good Airlines not mentioned. I travel a lot but am no expert
-
El Al. They are the most secure airline in the world, they are Israeli and (at the moment atleast) they do not fly on the Sabbeth, which makes them special in yet another way. If I am not flying to Israel and I can afford it, British Airways - otherwise it has to be EasyJet.
-
Air New Zealand Qantas American Airlines ANA AOL Korean Thai Malaysian United Northwest Japan airlines
-
Jet Blue. TV's in every seat, more leg room than any other airline I've been on, and free beer!
-
Oceanic. Especially flight 815.
-
Southwest Airlines
-
I can't believe no one has put down Virgin Atlantic! They are kick a$$. Especially if you are lucky enough to be in ye olde first class. Lufthansa's pretty sweet as well.

-
I live in the US and like Southwest stewards and stewardesses the best. They are funny and considerate. But also like flying JetBlue.
-
U.S. Airways. They actually serve meals and not snacks. They also have tvs for every seat in their newer model planes.
-
Airtran, for sure. Not only are their flights dirt cheap compared to most places, but the planes are all brand new and each seat comes with XM radio in the armrest [They give you free earphones if you don't have your own.].. oh, and they give you biscotti. ha.
-
BANANA ha! Really, I love Singapore great friendly service
-
Jefferson Airplane!! (I kid) I think probably British Airways

-
Northwest Airlines
-
i would say cathay pacific for international flights. great service and food.
-
Best one I have been on was Virgin Atlantic. Excellent food, service, my own games system, an aisle to myself and I got the seat near the exit so I have acres of leg room. Plus the stewardess sat opposite me was hot.
-
JetBlue; an easy to understand bonus mile plan--about 10 flights gets me one free-- comfortable coach seating. clean. usually on time. pleasant attendants. pricing usually reasonable or cheap.
-
Not very useful in america but Turkish Airlines were the most helpful by miles. My husband and I had to fly home urgently from a trip to Turkey and they were so sensitive and kind. They made our connection quick and easy. Their planes were spotless and very roomy too.
-
Swissair uses real cutlery, and plates, not the plastic stuff, and they menu you can choose from.Their service is the best.
-
Wher I am its pretty limited, unless I want to travel a couple hours to get to a major airport. Even so, I like USAirway better than the few others I've used.
-
Swiss Air and KLM; great service.
-
Continental Airlines best overall on time performance and best percentage of fewest lost bags. Employees get extra money if they make the top 5 in the country determined by the D.O.T.
-
Continental
-
south african airlines, always friendly smiling face
-
I really like Delta!
-
cathay pacific!

-
It all depends on where you are flying. United is my favorite over all.
-
so far my favorite is lufthansa
-
Singapore or Malaysian for far-east long haul.
-
Air Jamaica treated my wife and i like a king and queen. the hostesses were great and the flight was the most comfortable ever. The pilot appeared to be about 18 years of age. No matter, he knew his aircraft inside out and it showed.
-
Continental, but I have to admit I'm biased (hubby works there)
-
Emirates for their Entertainment System, Singapore Airlines for the service and friendliest staff Quantas for the space Thai Air for the most beautiful female staff
-
Jet Blue you get to watch tv while on your flight to your destination
-
Every traveller knows that Singapore Airlines and Swissair are the best airlines in the world.
-
Continental Airlines -- they have treated me well for 15 years.
-
Emirates Airlines! Lovely - and at the Dubai Airport, Emirates passengers get a lot of convieneint advantages like self check in and lesser distance to walk!
-
I have flown with Delta and American airlines and out of the two i prefer American Airlines. Not for any reason really just my opinion. But, I will be traveling Airtran soon so we will see how that goes.
-
Ive only flown one Southwest Airlines a.k.a. THE SWA haha they're so cool they wear their kneepads on their ankles! Hail: THE SWA!
-
the cheapest. Southwest airlines.
-
Southwest
-
Jetblue for sure. I have used this airline for the past 10 years to go back and forth to NJ, and Fl. They have tvs, leather seats, pillows, blanks, lights, air vents, and great drink, and snacks.
-
NorthWest because I have a World Perks account.
-
Midwest -- their seats are comfy and the prices are reasonable (for the highway robbery of most airlines' prices)... and their staff are very personable but they don't service too many locations, so that's the only downside I see :)
-
SAS OR BRITISH AIRWAYS.
-
You want me to chose a particular plane? How would one be aware of all they planes out there to make that decision. I did however fly on a 737 last week that was pretty cool.
-
Swissair
-
Are you talking about which AIRLINE I like? I usually use Alaskan Airlines. I've never ridden on any specific plane that had a specific "name".
-
Southwest within the US. I've never been delayed and the staff is almost always helpful and kind.
-
AirLINE is Virgin Air International. Domestically, I'm not liking anyone really. Maybe Continental (despite recent headlines). Delta takes away you miles after 2 years, and has very poor customer service in general. Oh, I could go on.
-
continental
-
Spirit is awesome. You always get to your destination at least 20 minutes early, and several times I've been bumped up to first-class (for free) or offered it for a cheap price.
-
In the USA I like South West Airlines Transatlantic Virgin Worldwide I like Singapore Airlines.
-
I only fly on Southwest.
-
i like qantas. they are one of the few airlines that still give free food and great service (current as when i last flew) i DONT like american airlines at all! worst plane and service i have EVER!!!!! had
-
I really enjoy Saudia Airlines (when travelling to the Middle East). Good (free) food, excellent service, comfortable (roomy) seats.
-
Try Singapore Airline..World class Airline.
-
I like British Airways or Lufthansa.
-
Anything but American Airlines, they're the worst I've been on by a long way. Virgin were probably the best.
-
Cathay Pacific are the best in my opinion. Best in professionality and kindness of personnel, meals and entertainment. In Europe BA is quite good and Lufthansa. Internal flights in the USA are pretty bad in all my experiences.
-
Overall Lufthansa, in the US - Frontier.
-

-

-
Buddy Holly Airlines.....they Play Glenn Millar Music inflight
-
With recent flights I would now have to say that for domestic USA it would be Continental and for international I would say Emirates.
-
Cathy Pacific......
-
I used to like US Air. They would give out meals and I loved the lasagna. Now, since carriers are getting cheaper and cheaper, they're all lame but I like United.
-
It was Canadian Airlines International...but since they were bought out by Air Canada...their brand of caring individual staff have disappeared and had any good feelings beaten out of them by the new carrier.
-
Ryanair! Aha. Nah. Or virgin or easyjet...I'm loving the airlines.
-
The best I've traveled with is KLM. Nice stewardesses and tasty food.
-
Southwest
