I would highly consider it.

I will and I have. Here are the latest. Diesel (black) and Peanut (tortie). >^..^<
-
Yes, and I have. I took in strays for years and turned them back out to good homes.
-
Yes. Poppy is a French rescue dog who doesn't understand anything we say to her, but she is happy and healthy for an old dog of somewhere between 9 and 11. This is her enjoying the sunshine through the windows.
-
Yeah i would actually adopt one there before i would get one that is out of the paper or something.
-
Yes I just did. A link with a picture of them is in the comment section. Here is a website that counts down the number of hours a dog has to live before they are euthanized. It gives people the information to save the pets life. My last 3 dogs were from shelters and they make very loving pets. Shelters are the last line for millions of innocent dogs. The public has no idea of the magnitude of this national tragedy. The sad reality is that over four million dogs are killed each year in shelters. Why, in a country of dog lovers, are so many dogs homeless? Because their families abandon them, for reasons like job change, divorce and new baby… and most shelters don’t have the necessary programs to get the dogs the exposure they need to find new homes. Shelters find homes for many dogs, but millions are euthanized. http://www.dogsindanger.com/

I've done it for years. All but two of our pets are either from rescues and shelters or were homeless.

G'day Johnboy, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment which makes things difficult. Otherwise, I would consider it. Regards
-
yeah I love animals
-
i got my cat from the local cattery, she'd obviously had a couple of litters, because her belly is a bit floppy, and hangs - aah bless, but shes very loving and friendly, but stranglely enough, terrified of black plastic sacks, which makes me wonder if she was ever put it one?
-
Nothing would please me more. I intend to save a dog as soon as I purchase my home, which I am in the process of doing now.
-
Not only did I adopt my last pet, a giant bunny, from our local Humane Society shelter, I also make weekly monetary contributions to help their cause.
-
I have done so in the past, and have room for a pet in my heart, but not enough room for one in my apartment.
-
All my pets have come from shelters or the streets. I have never purchased one from a pet shop, even though I have worked in one.
-
A very good idea. All our cats and dogs are rescues.
-
I most certainly would adopt dogs if I had the room in my home. There is lots of room in the heart but the room space fails me there :-(
-
All the dogs I've ever had were about to be abandoned.
-
i have plenty of room in my heart, but not my home :(
-
My chiuahua came to me from a woman who was going to have her put into a pound, since she was no longer a puppy she surely would not have come back out.
-
I have. I make sure they are socialized, disease-free, and playful, then find new homes for them. People who don't want to go to the shelter and possibly bring home a cat with problems of some sort, are more likely to accept a cat that has already been proven to have a good disposition. I don't mind paying the adoption fee. It's my way of helping to reduce the kitty population, since they are spayed/neutered before I bring them to live with me. In fact, I think it's about time I picked out a couple more to entertain my permanent cat till they're old enough to join another loving family.
-
ye, and have already
-
Yes
