Do you think that whoever wants/needs it more wins sports matches/games, or the person who is stronger, better, etc? Why?

Nothing matters over the long run except the burning drive to succeed. The talented, intelligent, and those with natural gifts will fall by the wayside as the person who refuses to accept defeat permanently passes these other people up. - These words are from studies by men much smarter than I. Can't even remember where from, but i'm a psych/anthro major and we went over some research studies in detail.
