He was the first hippie! Had long hair way ahead of the curve. In the early 70's he invented those jeans that you sometimes see in resale shops that say "male" on the tag so that you can identify the gender of the long-haired wearer. Mr. Itt went on to run a very successful hedge fund group and left $500 million to Gomez and Uncle Fester when he passed away in 2002. Remarkably, Uncle Fester is nearly 110 years old and still retains most of his faculties....such as they ever were.

Male definitely--Gomez shared a cigar with IT when(IT) got 'very lucky' one evening and Gomez even started thinking of marriage for Cousin It-he said something like-Not quoting here, You old dog you It, I knew it you ARE an Adams! And Gomez and It smoke their cigars and nodding their heads and acting completely like an olf friend finally got his knob polished. Sounds like male commeraderie to me ;)

He's the hairy dude. I always assumed he was male. when wearing hats it was always a bowler or a beret. Yet that is one of the great mysteries of the show.

Has everyone forgotten the episode where Itt took voice lessons which slowed down his speech? That voice was definitely male.
