  • It's more like greed, selfishness, false pride, and lack of regard for the well-being of our fellow human beings and the world in which we live - those are the things that can destroy any civilization. Not limited to the excessively wealthy, either. Greed cuts across all classes. False pride seems to be part of the human condition. But there's a lot that's right with America. America is one of the greatest nations in recorded history, in my opinion.

  • The USA is ran by the wealthy. They influence laws for their own gain by being allowed to throw this wealth around to those that govern our country. Human nature will dictate to itself when confronted by offers of wealth and stature, and thus allowing this kind of "lobbying" of government officials must not be allowed. Many high ranking government officials are former officers of many corporations they work with under the government seal today, making decisions on taxpayer money for their former colleagues as of this typing. See any conflict of interests here ? Not for them.. of course, but just us who depend on them to make decisions based on what we the people voted them into office to do. Got any money to motivate them ?
