My boss is kinda young, but he sometimes just doesn't get it lol. My father on the other hand is 62 years old and texts like a fiend, with the proper text jargon as well.
-
My boss Sal is 2 years younger than me. I am the oldest person at my job, and I am still way cooler than most of them. They grew up in the '90's, when you weren't allowed to do anything;)

No

"Macking" hasn't been hip since 1983.
-
No, my last boss thought groovy was still a hip word.
-
I wanna be that guy when I grow up
-
Nope... my boss is like, the Sultan of Dorkistan. He always says "cool beans" when he thinks something's cool, which I detest. For some unfathomable reason, he also calls me "Sugar Pop". Hopefully it's not some kind of latent come-on.
-
My Director is like that, he is way cool.
-
Well I'm the boss and I DID think I was pretty hip because i said cool beans and groovy but now I'm starting to wonder :(
-
I know what you mean. I work for a New Zealander, and a British guy, they are both great, but sometimes, I have to wonder, wtf did I miss... :)
-
hi sara, babieeeeeeeee, not my manager....he tries to be, but his hip vocabulary flops...he should start watching MTV..... LoLz
-
standard English has it's place and the workpalce is probably one of them. having to watch MTV in oreder to communicate doesn't seem very precise or efficient. :-O
