Close if you count a gulf, far if not.
-
Yep. I live in Chicago, right off of Lake Michigan in the central United States.
-
Yes, way TOO far, in fact. I love the ocean, and will live much closer to one of them someday!
-
I can see the Atlantic Ocean from my garden.
-
No I live fairly close to the Atlantic, I have all my life. At the moment, I live about a one-hour drive from the New Hampshire seacoast.
-
Nope, in Scotland youre never to far away from the sea.
-
No, I have a variety of beaches at my disposal. Jones Beach, Rockaway Beach, Sound Beach, Long Beach, other beaches that I can't think of the names for... Robert something or Moses something...?

About an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. I am in central Florida so I am relatively lucky in being able to drive east or west and hit it.
-
I live very far from the ocean. :(

I live within a couple hundred yards of the Sassafras River, which is part of the Chesapeake Bay, so saltwater is nearby. As far as the ocean ocean, I'm about 80 miles by road from the Atlantic.

Define close. The nearest beach is about 2 hours away. That's pretty close.
-
I live a mere 3 blocks from the Atlantic Ocean....and I have the parking problem to prove it! Damn you, tourists! No parking means NO PARKING! And that includes MY DRIVEWAY!
-
Not nearly close enough. I used to live right on the water, it was sextacular.
-
3 blocks to the bay, 5 miles to the beach.
-
Less than 1 hour away from the Atlantic.
-
32 miles from Newport Beach, CA 33 miles from Laguna Beach, CA
-
No, but I'm told I will when California falls in.
-
Not the ocean but I live about 6 miles away from Apollo Beach in FL. To tell you the truth, I am a FL native & am burnt out on the beach scene. I have a pool & would rather hang out there. The only time we go to the beach is when we want to go to an island off Apollo Beach for a picnic & we take the jet ski out there. Plus, my hubby is 46 & I'm 33. He doesn't like me going out in public w/ my skimpy bikini. INSECURE!!!
-
About 200 feet away from the atlantic.
-
Nah, I'm about as middle as you can get. The up-side of this is that in case they order everybody to move inland, I'm already all set.
-
Pretty close, maybe an hour away.
-
About two and a half to three hours to the closest beach, but about six to seven hours to the closest American beach.
-
I'm about 120 miles from it.
-
about 1/2 a block away from the Pacific Ocean..I can see it from my place (I'm on the 16th floor).
-
About a 3 minute walk to the beach. I listen to the waves on the beach every night. Google "Florence Oregon" and look at the "North Jetty Beach" area.
-
Yes. I'm 1/10th of a mile from the sand. Can hear the waves pounding the beach late at night when everything else is quiet. It's not loud enough to keep me awake. Just knowing waves are there is a better description. Don't know how long I'm gonna be able to live here with real estate depreciating like it is. I'll owe more than it's worth pretty soon.
-
quite a while, maybe an hours drive :)
-
2 km, or a 20 min walk from the Mediterranean sea. On hot summer days, you can smell the sea in the wind.
-
Maybe you could find a bathing suit that shows off your figure, but isn't as revealing. Compromise, may be the key to solving your problem. Good Luck!
