What would you say if someone you didn't miss were to ask you if you missed him or her?

Not really, but I'm sure somebody else did (with a smile). That is if I have an intense dislike for the person. Other than that, I would opt for a neutral (and not quite a lie): I always miss people when they're gone.

I'd lightheartedly say "Come on, that's silly. Why would you even have to ask me that?" They could come to whatever conclustion they want at that point.
