The difference is : when you are reminding someone, you remind them only ONCE, they have enough understanding and awareness of their work to be completed on time, AND importance of you in their life, so they do it. when you are nagging someone, menas you are reminding them N number of times OR/AND they dont consider you much important ,AND/OR they do not give importance to their work, so they call you nagging.

Its all in the attitude. my wife reminds me to fasten my seat belt...a lot. granted, i am not a fan of a seat belt, but i do know it saves lives in an auto crash. she doesn't nag, but uses helpful reminders. she is very inventive, it works and i love her for it.
