If he cheated on me, I'd keep the ring. Eventually I'd probably sell it, or at least have the diamond set into something else that I could enjoy. I wouldn't give the ring back. That's his loss.

Depends on what its worth. If it is a nice ring, I will sell it. If its a cheaper ring, I would throw it in a body of water, right in front of him.

The etiquette is typically this: If the woman breaks off the engagement, she gives the ring back. If the man does, she keeps it. In this situation, I'd give it back. I don't need the reminder and selling it for money is a little classless to me.

Don't give it back, either sell it or turn it into a necklace or something else. He messed up. You have the right to keep it.

girl wat ever you do wait! time can do so much make no drastic moves about a womans best friend!

I think there are actual laws that govern this not just custom. Custom was that the one who broke the engagement left the ring with the one being deserted. Now, I think it's supposed to be given back to the person who purchased it, but I wouldn't bet my next AB paycheck on it.

I would give it back.....via a brick it was tied to that I would throw at his head.

I would give it him back, one day he might remember it when his cheating renders him all alone and then he will have to re-evaluate his life and consider changing. Giving it him back kinda makes you out to be better and nobler than him.

I wouldn't give it back unless it was a family heirloom or something. In that case, I'd feel like they didn't deserve it back, but it wouldn't be right to keep it. If it wasn't a ring of special significance like that, then I'd probably sell it. Unless it was realllllly beautiful or something, I wouldn't want a token from an asshole hanging around. It's his fault there's a problem, so he doesn't deserve to get back anything.

See i can be a real bitch, so Im gonna say I would sell it for $10 dollars to a pawn-shop (regardless of how much it was) then give him his 10 dollars with the reciept of how much i sold it for. =) im good but when im bad, im really bad.
-
I would sell it and spend the money on something or someone:) that made me feel good.
-
i would keep it. I like diamonds (being that he was the one who broke it off)
