  • About the same as Certifications/degrees and practical application of knowledge. Diddly squat. Some peeps are good test takers and get loads of certs....yet can't perform simple tasks, others get the same certs and know their stuff. Some 'Tards can recall what day of the week June 17 1912 was, yet the physicist that'll make the final breakthrough bringing Quantum Computing to the mainstream may not be able to remember when to type there, their, or they're.
  • Virtually nothing, working memory can be improved with practice and focus. Our working memory can hold 5 items (plus or minus 2) under normal circumstances, this number can be increased or diminished depending on circumstances and use. Intelligence is a term that is tossed about that many don't fully grasp (including scholars). IQ tests are only one way to measure intelligence and it only provides a very limited scope of what 'intelligence' really is. There are many 'types' of intelligence and many can not be measured, therefore someone may possess a type of intelligence in a certain area that may improve their working memory. In terms of actual IQ score, the correlation is non-existent.

  • Haven't you ever seen someone who can remember everything but comes up with the most stupendously illogical arguments and explanations?
  • there is none. my computer might encounter a bug and lock up. It will do it each time it gets to the bug. Even after a milion years it'll never learn to avoid the bug so as not to crash. That's less intelligence than a kitten who needs to get his paws just ONCE to know that water ain't too pleasant for him. Yet a very slow computer can possess more memory than even 1000 very clever people.
