I am making an attempt to match my clothes. What color shoes go with dark pants (black or dark blue khakis), and what color shoes go with light pants (tan or off-white khakis)?

black shoes with dark blue or black. brown with tan and off white. for free do-it-yourself tips advice on dressing go to web sites (or even better, get catalogues from) brooks brothers, orvis, l.l. bean and bullock and jones (or any other top-of-the line mens store). if you can afford it there are a number of good, classic books out there. i don't know how old you are or what your family situation is but, despite the casual trend, you're making a wise decision. i mean there's casual and there's sloppy.
