  • Don't believe it's a real band, but in the commercials (Singing Pirates - http://www.youtube.com/watch New Car - http://www.youtube.com/watch and Dream Girl - http://www.youtube.com/watch ) all appear to be done Eric Violette (see http://www.ericviolette.com/ (french version) or http://translate.google.com/translate (google translated version - http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://ericviolette.com/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.ericviolette.com/%26num%3D20%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-US - Eric's home page)
  • whose the drummer?
  • The singer's name is Eric Violette. check out ericviolette.com
  • Hugh Laurie is British, not Australian
  • So I checked out ericviolette.com and it has its own English version. Under the "Videos" section are the commercials as well as a song called "Escape" which is in English and in which he does play guitar. I also noticed much of his training was done in Canada so he is familiar with the North American-English accent (yes, I know there are countless, regional dialects). In his video, "Escape," he talks in a heavily French accented tongue but in much of the song you do not hear his French accent, but that being said, his voice does sound different than the voice you hear in the commercials. Most of his training and experience is in acting, but he has studied singing as well.
  • Eric Violette is indeed the performer, but not the singer. He is lip-syncing to a recording made by Dave Mulhefeld.
  • The Mothers of Invention
  • Pink Floyd
  • The band isn't a real band. The "lead singer" is a French Canadian guy named Eric Violette. I don't the the names of the others in the "band". You can check it out here http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26061279/
  • have any of you seen the show house? Well, "Gregory House" has a major british accent, but you can't tell because he fakes an english accent. Just like an american can fake a british or irish or french accent, it's simply called acting.
  • The "FreeCreditReport Band." That's how they're referred to on the Internet and on FreeCreditReport's websites. This is not a real band, although all three members are professional musicians who perform in and around Montreal.
  • GodagainstGod......
