Immediately before he was governor he was "co-managing partner" of the Texas Rangers Baseball team. I've me Bush several times and know the other "co-managing partner"-he didn't have any real authority. His oil exploits were disasters.

His business career was marked by mediocrity or failure which nonetheless resulted in him getting lots of money from his father's political allies -- And his political career has been handed to him on a platter because of his famous name, on a platter carried by his dad's cronies.
