  • maybe your battery is dead. check to see if you can turn on your headlights and if not then check you battery
  • If your engine cranks it's not your battery. A no start condition could be caused by a couple of things. Try this when you get in the car turn the key to the on possition (not cranking) and try to listen for a hum sound and then it will stop. That hum is your fuel pump in the gas tank. You may need someone to listen from the outside by the rear driverside door. Another way is to remove the fuel cap and have someone listen that way also.
  • starter..or starter celenoid.. i got a car same like yours..
  • i have the same car also, and similar problems. i asked another owner of a honda of the same problems. they took their car to a honda dealership and had a new fuel pump relay put in for about 150.00 us dollars. they told me also how the problem got progressively worse as it has in my car too. they took to venting the car by opening the doors and the hood to let car cool off, and their car would restart, others have told me to vent the gas tank. hope this helps....when i find the fuel pump relay on my car......i will try to replace it myself. hope this helps you.
  • battery?
  • Have you perhaps flooded your engine with fuel (usually by pumping the gas before the engine catches).
  • Mine does it also, it only does it in the summer when the inside gets hot. There is an ignition relay that needs to be resoldered. If I leave the windows down some it usually helps
  • Most likely the main relay (fuel pump relay) as they are common to go bad in 1990-1993 accords. if this doesn't work, try starting your car but holding the key in between the start and run positions (of the key). If it stays running in between the start and run or attempts to run in between, it is probably your ignition switch.
  • I'm having the exact same problem, don't waste your money on all of these fuel pumps and relays because that's not what it is..after it does this for a while, you'll notice your antifreeze decreasing slowly and you'll have to add more in. Take it to a radiator shop. I tried everything on this forum, and it ended up being the head gasket. It actually leaks into the Pistons which is what causes it not to start. To make it start after this problem occurs, put the pedal the whole way down, turn it over for maybe 5 seconds, than sit for a second or 2 and it'll fire right up. it's only 85 bucks for a head gasket diagnostic. Good luck.
  • i have the same kind of prob ,my car will turn over and start if i spray starting fluid in the intake but if i dont i will just keep turning over and not fire, i checked the fuel pump and it works, but it wont come on when i turn the key on ,so then i got the main relay looked at and fixed and still im in the same boat so im not sure ether...
  • could it be starter celeniod
  • theres no gas in it +3
