Hello there keithold, I thought it already was? Well, as much as history puts me to sleep, the old saying goes, "You need to know where you've been in order to find out where you're going." So I would have to say, yes. However, I would like to have history presented in a more interesting, consumable way.

Yes it should be. In fact, the more subjects available to students the more interesting school will be and the more children will learn. Expanding curriculum not decreasing it should be our goal.

Yes; I think it's important to know our past. I personally find history to be interesting, and it also helps us to understand some of the future expectations.

history is an absolutely vital subject in high school. it promotes debate, critical thought and analysis more than any other subject (maybe maths wins in terms of analysis). it is a synthesis of many skills including application of logic, essay writing, etc. its not just memorising dates, but rather, understanding interpretations of history
