  • Lot was Abraham's brother or nephew, depending on what passage you read. His connection to Ruth is only through Abraham. Lot was a contemporary of Abraham. Fast forward a few generations to the clans of the tribes. (I am assuming you understand the relationship of Abraham to the tribes.) One of the tribes (I didn't find a direct reference to which one - I assume Judah because of relevance and location in the land of Judah) has the clan of Elimelech. Elimelech was married to Naomi. They had two sons, and one of the sons married Ruth, who was a Moabitess.
  • Father = Terah Sons = Abraham, Nahor, Haran Lot was Haran's son, Abraham's nephew. Haran died young, this is why Lot went with Abraham.. Gen.12:4; 13:1. Lot had 2 sons,by his daughters after his wife was turned into a pillar of salt.. Moab and Ammon or Benammi. This is where the Moabites and Ammonites come from...Ruth, a Moabite is a descendant of Moab....
