Evil is the absence of good. To state that evil is the opposite of good is to imply that God created evil and that is eternal. It is not, it is merely the perversion of good. Evil is not the opposite of good any more than cold is the opposite of of heat. What is cold? It is the absence of heat.

No. "Evil" is something subjective. As is "good". There can be two different people, one viewing the same thing as evil, the other as good. The third person might view this as neither. The fourth doesn't have an opinion. And there can be many others who all view it as various combinations of these. . When the large majority of a group of people - that identifies with each other and views themselves as a distinct group - share their view (or so they believe) on whether something is good or evil, then in that group it can often be assumed that this thing is "objectively" good or evil, hence projecting it as a rule that should be followed by everyone in the group and by other groups - with possible sanctions or rewards depending on the extent of this "evil" or "good". . What You decide is up to you depending on Your individual experiences; influence and the strength of connection of all the small and large groups that You belong to. And also on possible consequences of all the rewards and sanctions that can be put on You. (including being killed) Also on the amount of protection You can get from one group against the other, that would want to harm You. . This can have both advantages and disadvantages.
