  • Yes. The priest in my grandmother's parish was widowed with children.
  • Yep. I even know of one who was married. It was an odd situation. He was Episcipalian or something and then became Catholic... his wife couldn't take the stress of the unusal situation and divorced him. Very scadelous. Poor guy. Things went from bad to worse for him. He was really good at his job and now he doesn't even have a parish.
  • Yes. Although the Church will ask the man to wait until his children are adults before ordaining him. His previous responsibility to his children must be fulfilled before he can prperly take on additional responsibilities. I have known at least two men in this situation.
