It would have to be non-perishable items eg canned goods. We are italo-australian, so canned tomatoes would be top of the list. Toilet paper, toothpaste, etc would be next. Cleaning products too. that would probably amount to 5 "items" all up. Fresh food would be last, as it doesn't last long. Also, I am starting to grow my own veges, so, in the future, hopefully will not have to buy much.

How about a pack of Hot Dogs??? No really I think I would stock up on all can goods, other dry goods & Pork Spare Ribs, Pork Loin Roast, Catfish Fillets, Jumbo Shrimp & a lot of fruits like oranges, apples, grapes. Then if there was any thing left out of that thousand & the way I buy things there would still be 50% of it left. I would take and give it to someone else who was down in hard times. Say like if they needed their electric turned back on I would go to the electric company & pay it for them. Plus get their kids if any some winter clothing. I seen how you're question was asked & that it was for Grocery's. But even so I know a few company's I worked for that deal in food transporting . And I could buy all the food through them at a large discount returned back to me after. And that 50% discount would be the way I had the cash to help other's in need. Wishful thinking though. For I never win anything...........Plus 4 for your answer,,,,M.C.S.
