  • Cookie Puss is a character created by Carvel in the 1970s as an expansion of its line of ice cream cake characters freshly made and sold only in its stores, There was a holiday version of Cookie Puss specific to Saint Patrick's Day, called Cookie O'Puss. It was similar to the original but with green icing accents and a leprechaun-style hat. For Valentine's Day, Carvel sold a version called Cupi Puss. Cheers!
  • Cookie O'Puss was one of three "character" ice cream cakes available since the late 70s at Carvel ice cream stores, in and around the NY metro area. The basic cake is Cookie Puss, an space alien, which has a big grinning face, and ice cream cone for a nose and two large Cookies for eyes (hence the name cookie puss = "cookie face".....) In the original TV ads, the alien would come to life as soon as the carvel employee was done pouring him into the mold, flying around the shop and making insane laughter. Check out the low budget ads on you tube--they are bizarre--complete with Tom Carvelos' own gravely-voiced narration. The cakes have holiday themes: O'Puss for Saint Patrick's day, and Cupi Puss for Valentine's. You can still get these cakes, there has been a recent revival of them. They usually have to be ordered in advance (better off if you want a fresh one). I just bought a Cookie Puss for and had them Decorate customize him a bit for Valentine's. We had a great time posing for photos w/Cookie Puss...and then the barbaric finale....
  • Cookie puss is a great gift for Mom on Mother's Day!
