I don't think I see it as a whole to me, but each one has their own goals and destiny.
-
This is rather obvious isn't it? Death?
-
the human race don't decide their own destiny, the politicians do and they are destroying the human race. As a whole our destiny is to destroy eachother
-
We will create many many earth-like planets in the universe which will be populated by human beings.
-
honestly? Destruction

There is no ultimate destiny, other than annihilation. It's not that I think we are going to destroy ourselves, but we well might. It's not that I believe we are going to be destroyed by some boring asteroid, comet, or supervolcano, although those might get us too. I certainly think it's unlikely we'll be roasted alive by our own sun as it gets hotter and hotter over the next 5 billion years and then expands to encompass Earth's orbit, and by then, we'd have to be really really slow and stupid, or else the challenges of space colonization would have to be MUCH MUCH harder than our best scientists and engineers currently envison them, but it could happen I guess. I am optimistic, and although some might even say very very optimistic, I think my optimism is based in realism and fact, based on the fact that many futurists tend to agree with me, and the current rate of the advance of technology. I believe we will develop our biotechnologies, nanotechnologies, and artificial intelligence, eventually surpassing our biology, gradually integrating more of our technology with our minds and bodies, until eventually making the entire human body, including the brain, obsolete. Aging and inevitable death will become nasty memories, and, with the ability to "back up" minds, permanent accidental death will come to approach ever lower probabilities. I see these things happening in the relatively short term, all of what I've just mentioned being reality in about 100 years, and some of it in the next couple of decades. With very much for advanced technology, in the much more distant future, options such as time travel, quantum information extraction from currently "scrambled" past data, or simply randomly creating minds based on what we know probably lived in the past, we very well maybe able to "resurrect" the dead, those that were not luck enough to live in our time, or were too old to benefit before the real life extension came. The vastly intelligent, and ever-growing minds that humanity will become will come to expand throughout the universe, filling the universe with ever-increasing computation and intelligence. One might say that the "human race", if by that we mean our biological species, will have rendered itself extinct, but that equates evolution with extinction - which seems silly. It's the only way we can really keep growing, becoming greater than we are. There will be no "destiny", because destiny involves an end, an ultimate outcome, and our future is open-ended, only as goal-oriented as we make it, and as the laws of physics allow it to be. However, and I don't think there's a way around it - statistics will get us in the end. If our star doesn't blow us up, and some massive galactic-scale catastrophe doesn't get us, and an even large galactic cluster scale thing, and proton-decay (which means no more atoms, and is predicted by some unified physics theories) can be worked around, and we can somehow manage to live in a universe ever growing colder and farther apart from itself, as the last stars and then black holes die, it stands to probability that there will always be something, either known or unknown, that is an even bigger catastrophe than the last possible big thing, and inescapably will annihilate us entirely - for instance, a theoretical collision between our universe and another, if such things actually happen in nature. I believe we are doomed - but we have a beautiful, amazingly rich road ahead filled with an indefinite, ever-fuller life for the "human race" and each individual person, if we make the right decisions now, and we NEVER stop hoping, or raging against the dying of the light.

Particles headed to the nearest antiparticle. Humans are an unfortunate host of concence, you see science is so limited that we are doomed to individualistic fathoming. the ultimate goal would be: equate the time space factor space- universal matter distribution with the antimatter differential. time- the separative pull of the universal antimatter proportioning /the fundamental platform, the rotation of particle collision. then maybe science will precieve collusion the same forces are the molding of actuality determination of existance and freewill of nothingness

If you believe in many lives, we all come back to learn. There are thousands of tests we must past before we become a kind of master/zen that lives in upper form of life. Human beings have to come back to this world hundreds even thousands of time. Some never graduate, because they don't want to learn, or think, or improve. We need to overcome all the bad things in human nature: greed, hate, pride, jealousy...We have to experience, feel, taste, suffer, in order to understand, then realize that desires for materials and sensuality are really unnecessary(stupid). We must learn to give them up. Unless we can let them go, we won't have to learn the same lesson next life, we would move on to something new. The reason we have to come to this world is that we need a body to feel. After we die (and before we reborn again), our soul exist. The soul feels happy and relaxing all the time, not learning anything, waiting for our turn to reborn. The idea of the masters or God is that all lives are categorized into different levels. Only the good one move up, and live a better life (in next life). Keep moving up will take you to the master/zen level, which allows you to stay there without coming bact to human's form, which suffers what human always suffer. Evil people will be downgraded to sub-human form, born in tyrannical countries, or extremely poor countries, or during war. They live short and die in pain. If they do further evil things (they usually will, because evil accumulate over lives), they will be further down-graded to animals. Thus they lose the chance of education. These lives hardly have any chance to move up. Good people will enjoy better life, meeting nice people that treat them well, twice as well as they treated others in their past lives. By being a good person for many lives, you have a chance to become a master, though master are often Saint, it's extremely difficult to achieve that. Nearly all people you meet this life are people you have met in the past. There are reasons why each one treat you the way they do. By learning what happened to you, you have an idea what you have done in your past lives. By counting what you have done to others, you can imagine what the rest of your life (and your future lives) look like. However, things (karma) does not happen the way people think - exactly "an eye for an eye". It can be strange, and unacceptable. However, if you study more about karma, you would be able to track them down. Answers can be shocking. Many people cannot believe it. The idea is to make people not to believe it, as one shouldn't do good things for rewards. We should become good people purely because we want to be good. If you do it for credit, you'll lose the credit.
