Why is Cannibal Holocaust not considered as the most horrifying and disturbing movie of all time?
The violence in the movie is extreme and real animals were actually killed during the making of the movie. I know there are many disturbing movies such as Maniac, Mark of the devil, Zombie Holocaust and Blood Sucking Freaks just to name some but I think Cannibal Holocaust is the most extreme.

Cannibal Holocaust was primarily filmed in the Amazon Rainforest of Colombia. Animal cruelty laws weren't too strict in the early 1980's. And besides, the animals harmed in the movie were food to the indigenous people.
