      I think this is a great point. I've never seen it specified that a sandwich has to be on "puffy" bread (I'd say that a tortilla being unleavened disqualifies it as sandwich bread), but that "feels" like it is true. That might also be the case for pizza, tacos, wraps, pitas, etc.

      Many recipes for tortillas contain baking powder. They are not all unleavened.
  • If one considers a tortilla as bread then it is indeed a sandwich. I personally think any flat bread is still bread, due to the ingredients. 9/21/23
