  • Answerbag is just ok. It has its advantages and disadvantages between the Answerbag staff and the users. Although that is, it’s good to share knowledge, experience and information. It may not be the same as Yahoo Answers when it existed but overall Answerbag is decent but could do with certain features and improvements.

Did you ever see it in all its glory, 10ish years ago?

Do you mean to say did I see Answerbag 10 years ago?

Yes. The site used to be a bustling hot spot of internet activity, if you can believe it. Thousands of users, hundreds of new questions every day, tons of drama... Then, one day, it all literally just disappeared without warning. The site relaunched 2ish years later, looking almost exactly as it does now (minus some of the smiley effects). 99.9% of the formatting and functionality is gone. It's a bit of a mess now, honestly. Anything but the most mainstream characters break the site, there's no messaging, no way to search for users, no way to customize your profile, and the categories are lumped into blobs that are difficult to navigate. We have, what, maybe 20 users here who are regularly active? Yet still it's much better than nothing.

I agree the website is a mess but at least it’s something where people can ask and answer questions
  • I am here since Yahoo answers folded up. I would like it if this site was more like YA used to be. There doesn't seem to be many people on this site. Even in the short time I have been here, I see less and less names on answers or questions. 5/1/23
  • 5/1/2023, yep, I have been using this website since a little over a decade, starting in 2012 by the old Answerbag until the present. I have tried other Q&A sites. I really think Answerbag has the best layout, it's easy to use, it has organized categories and for user safety: you can flag 🚩 offensive feedback.
  • Yes. I've been here 6 years now. All old AB. I didn't like YA charging points to ask questions, so I never went back. I have another private Q&A site I use and one of my own. I don't like Quora either. My favorite was MSN's Q&A site that closed before YA. Yes, this site is slow. It picked up when YA closed for a while then the true trolls moved on. But if the people who are here would ask more questions it would be fine.
