There was a robot art project called "Can't Help Myself." A robot was built to intentionally have a hydraulic fluid leak, and given the means to temporarily repair itself. The robot started out energetic, behaving "cheerfully" by showing off to spectators. After several days, the robot was lethargic, slowly shutting itself down as its temporary repairs were failing more and more often, with blood red hydraulic fluid spilled all over the floor and the glass barrier. Hydraulic fluid comes in all sorts of colours, and, sadly, the colour usually doesn't tell you the purpose of formulation of the fluid. -
