  • Probably, given the Katrina fiasco and the questionable justification for the Iraq War. (Though IMO the Iraq war served two secret purposes: [1] to give the economy a boost, which it sorely needed at the time and which almost always happens in the early years of a war. I suspect this was Bush's actual major motivation. Katrina-related recession was screwing up the economy at the time. [2] to "surround" Iran, which was (and still is) funding terrorism against the U.S. As a result of the Iraq and Afghan Wars, every nation bordering Iran was home to U.S. military bases (and was, thus, a military ally of the U.S.).
