Anybody in the US who does good can be called a good ole boy. Now, The Dukes of Hazzard on the television series have a Confederate flag on the roof of their 1969 Dodge Charger called the General Lee. Bo and Luke are good ole boys, (good guys), no doubt about it. But is the Confederate flag that supported slavery and Jim Crow laws a symbol of good in America - the land of the free??? As you see, this is what separates the good guys from the bad guys. You obviously can't call a racist redneck who is full of hate a good ole boy. It contradicts the nature of good. -
