  • That not all Catholic churches are the same. The one I went to this morning was well grounded in service to the neighbor community they were in. The one I grew up with didn't have any visible outreach volunteer service to the community that I knew of.

By their fruits you shall know them. The LDS Church does a lot of humanitarian work I love my Church! One of the things I like about the Catholic church is that they're real big on family and that's a good thing.

I don't know what happened to you but I pray for your healing. Anyone who wants to learn the truth about LDS humanitarian efforts is invited to look at these video clips: https://www.lds.org/media-library/video/categories/humanitarian?lang=eng
  • That Jesus alone brings salvation to mankind. Not a church or a building or the BOM.

A personal relationship is necessary No Doubt! However the church is not the building but the people.

That's not been my experience. Anyone who wants to know my beliefs, feel free to ask me. I don't force my beliefs and opinions on others as is exemplified here and in numerous other posts made by this person.
  • I didn't go to church this morning or last week or the many weeks before that. I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all I have. I do not go to church because I have become tired listening to lies and half-truths coming from the pulpit. Too many preachers, pastors, or by any other name either do not know the truth of the Bible or they are afraid to tell the truth of the Bible in fear of losing their job.

I've seen the same, but not in my Church.

I was raised Methodist, I later became Lutheran. I have been Baptist. I have been to the Church of God as well as several others. I was Charismatic for a number of years. I have also sat under some well known teachers over the years. I believed what they all said but always had that little question mark about what I was hearing. I asked the Lord God to teach me the truth. Starting about 15 years ago He started teaching me. I often said, "Lord is this true?" He would bring things to me showing me what he was teaching me was truth. I also asked, "Show me if the information given to me is this really from You?" He continued to bring me more information. I truly believe the information He has given me is true. I also had a very scary but very exciting awakening back in the mid 1970s leaving no doubt what-so-ever the Lord God and Jesus Christ are real. I was somewhere between agnostic and atheist. I was not in any kind of accident or sickness or any thing like that but when that period of time (about 1 1/2 hours) was over I arose a completely different person. Completely different! I was not my old self! I hope this has given you enough to understand where I came from and where I am today.
