No you are not thinking big enough or seeing the total picture. God is The Oneness so transcends sexual division. The All is contained within God. Biblical imagery paints God as a man but this was just so people could more easily grasp the concept of God. Don't get hung up on such silly trivial interpretations. Human language and understandings are imperfect so that is the closest it could come to it.

Jewels Vern Religion is made up by men telling each other what to do, so yes, religion is arbitrary and imaginary. It is possible to have more than one religion per person. God has nothing to do with religion. Satan pushes religion because it confuses people. So you are mixing two different subjects. God is the God of rightness. Satan is the god of religion and centralized government. Luke 4:5 "And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it." Delivered unto me, get it? Satan is the god of earthly authority.

Those of us who have studied the scriptures know that God has always been a spirit; he has never, ever taken on the flesh of a man or a woman. It was Jesus, who was created by God and who left his heavenly abode to be born from a Jewish girl and became the promised Messiah. Jesus is now King of God's heavenly Kingdom.

Because the Bible indicates that man was made in God's image so, presumably, God looks like a man (or woman). It's a silly notion but it gives the simple minded and children a way to visualize God in order to communicate with "him". It's not dissimilar to the visualization of the pearly gates of heaven and all that other nonsense.

No, Joe, it does not say God in man's image, it says man in God's image. God is a spirit; His image is another spirit. Adam had body, soul, and spirit. When he ate the forbidden fruit, the spirit died. That is why a savior had to be sent: so mankind could again have a spirit.

John 4:23,24 states that God is a spirit or in other words he is not of flesh and blood. You can not look at the sun nor could man of flesh and blood look at God. Read EXODUS 33:20 please.

Jehovah God's view of this is more than just gender...Male and Female are roles we have been given... the man to be the ' head' of the woman...and the woman to be the 'caring' role, as in motherhood. Women will argue the toss over this, but when they step outside of their ' role', then trouble happens...as in women in politics. No female politician has ever ' gone' graciously...they have all been eventually kicked out.
