  • So sorry to hear that you had such an ordeal on your daughter's first birthday. I think the first thing you have to do is figure out why you are having panic attacks. Your battles may be more obvious then you think and that is why your in laws were shying away from you. I suggest getting some counseling. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness and in the long run will help everyone, especially your daughter. Then you should sit down with your partner and tell them you are upset and you want to resolved the situation. Assure him that he did nothing wrong and you are no blaming them directly. Then down with your MIL and try to work things out. Tell her that you love her son , you won't do anything to jeopardize their relationship and that you will always be welcome in our home. A lot of issues arise from parents(especially moms) being unable to let go. You should have a sunday night dinner everything to bring everyone together.
  • Your "mother-in-law" is a drama queen which is a fact. You don't say if she is your daughter's grandmother which she is presumably not..? You also don't say that she has done similar performances in the past which she presumably has...? The missing details appear odd and make the story strange but this is not likely to get better. If you marry your partner his mother will do everything in her power to make your life miserable.
  • maybe you should stay away from them if theyre going to be like that
