Neither one has ever mentioned a relation to the other. Neal has only ever referred to two brothers, Al (guitarist in Spock's Beard) and Richard (also a musical performer -- and his site also only mentions brothers Neal and Al). They all grew up in Southern California. Steve Morse's Web site, meanwhile, shows that he was born and raised in Ohio.
