Visual Symptoms
A silent migraine may cause zigzag vision patterns, auras, flashes of light and blind spots. These visual disturbances are usually brief.
Numbness
At the onset of an ocular migraine, you may experience numbness and /or slurred speech.
Pain & Ringing Sensations
A silent migraine may cause pain in your face as well as in other parts of the body. You may also have ringing in the ears.
Outlook
Ocular migraines are generally not considered to be serious. They usually pass on their own without treatment. However if they become chronic your doctor may prescribe medication to reduce their frequency and severity.
