  • many reasons can cause this, you may have driver problems, a virus, or a hardware issue with the motherboard or hardrive very hard to tell which one it could be at this point
  • If it's an older mouse, with a ball inside, you may need to clean the small rollers inside. Use cotton swabs and alcohol.
  • Most of the time I have this issue, my CPU is working 100% on something and doesn't have the cycles to spare for petty things like tracking the cursor. It's more common on systems with slow CPUs and/or too little RAM.
