You could try The Acid House, by Irvine Welsh (writer of Trainspotting), a collection of stories including one where the minds of a baby and a drug user are swapped, and another where God punishes a man by turning him into a fly. You could also try The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks, about a little kid on a remote island who likes killing animals, and has a brother who who has just escaped from a mental hospital and is making his way back home, plus a weird dad who did something very significant to his son at a young age, which changed everything and is disclosed at the end of the novel. It's funny as well, even if it doesn't sound it....
