Ironside (not Ironsides) was one. There was a British series about a private eye who had one arm -- they didn't make anything of the fact; at first I didn't even realize it (his empty jacket sleeve was pinned inside the jacket pocket). I can't think of the name of the series, though -- it was on TV a long time ago.

the australian tv comedy, swift and shift, its totally outrageous, but hugely funny, there are multiple handicapped people on it, if fact, I dont think any one is normal !! LOL

"The Andy Griffith Show" ... Floyd (Howard McNear), the barber, suffered a massive stroke and was left with little use of his arms and legs. That's why, in the later episodes, he's always shown sitting or what appears to be standing behind his barber chair.
