  • In my morality, no, it can never be justified. Force is only ever justified against the people who are directly causing some form of ill or oppression. But that is because put people first. Those who bomb as you say put some Cause ahead of people. I think they are wrong - Causes only matter because they affect people.
  • No. Simply put, this is terrorism.
  • its never justified to me. i see it the same as murder pretty much. its not ok morally. if actions need to be taken, im sure there is a better way.
  • Blowing people up is blowing people up. Period. There is no difference if you drop napalm on people from the air or throw a home made bomb filled with nails into a crowded street.
  • I think, in order to answer this you have to go back to the way that we describe these civilians (ie innocent) and the way the person who does the bombing describes them. I often hear supporters of these acts say " I do not agree with killing innocent civilians", when their own organisation has been involved in it. The problem is, they do not see these civilians as innocent in the way we see them as innocent. Innocent, to some fanatical organisations, means their co-fanatics. It does not mean even their co-religionists. To them, because these co-religionists are not toeing the fundamentalist line, they are guilty, whether or not they are civilians. This double-speak is how these organisations justify their attacks upon civilians... Of course, they say, we do not attack the innocent....(while in their minds they are saying: we, alone are the innocent; everyone else is guilty.) I think that reporters ought to be more discerning when interviewing representatives of some of these factions. They ought to ask point blank on a definition of the word "innocent" and how it applies to people outside their narrow definition of correctness.
