As little else as humanly possible. I HATE a cluttered glove compartment that you can't find anything in! My proof of insurance and registration are kept in an old checkbook cover, so it's as flat and narrow as possible to take up less space. I have a tire gauge and a couple other minor things. But I use the glove compartment to keep my shipyard badges and iPod in, so I DON'T want to clutter it up with so much that I have to excavate to get those in and out!

Kleenex or some sort of napkins or paper towels! Almost everyone in my car at one time or another needs a kleenex!
